EFT stands for 'Emotional Freedom Technique'. The practice is a variation on emotion-based acupuncture, but without the need for nasty needles! In EFT we use acupuncture points too, but we simply tap gently on those points with the fingertips while repeating certain phrases aiming to remove unhelpful or painful thoughts and behaviors so that you can reconnect with the inner strengths latent within us all. With my guidance, this soothing tapping technique will begin to help dissolve your personal blockages.
The word 'emotion' means 'energy in motion'. All negative emotions that you are experiencing are inconsitancies in your energy-body. When the energy in your body gets stuck symptoms will appear sooner or later.
Those symptoms are blocks in your meridians, the channels of your bodyenergy.
EFT unites approaches of the western talk-therapy with eastern acupressure.
When the energy system by tapping while tuning into the source of the blockage, the symptoms (which can be negative emotions, blocking beliefs, or physical pain for
example), diminish or disappear.
EFT was created by Gary Craig. It was an off shot of the work Roger Callahan did with a practice called Thought Field Therapy (TFT). While Roger Callahan is recognized as the founder of 'tapping', Gary Craig, a Stanford-trained engineer specializing in personal development, simplified the TFT technique considerably. He streamlined the processes into a shorter, memorable tapping sequence, making it more readily accessible on a mass scale.
